Dear all!

I'm going to configure SSL with PCK#10 (by Oracle, not secure device #11). However, when I read the Oracle documents, http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/network.102/b14268/asoauth.htm, I found that, Oracle recommends Avanced Security on the server. By using NetManager in Windows, I did not find this option at there. Back to the Oracle site, I saw, the Avanced Security is the part of Enterprise Installation. As of mine Oracle was Enterpirse, but I can not see it in NetManager.

ASO is part of Enterprise Edition only if you install it. Did you install the Advanced Security option with the OUI? Keep in mind, ASO is an additional cost option.

Thank you, ebrian.

I did not purchased for this Enterprise Edition Oracle. Said you that, so, this add-on product bundled only avaiable in paid-products?

It comes with the Enterprise Edition media, however to actually use the ASO functionality you must license it in addition to the Enterprise Edition software itself.

All Oracle products (including Entreprise Edition and ASO) are available on download for testing and developing for free.
To add ASO, just reexecute OUI and click on this option.

Michel

Thank you, Michel!

Following the Oracle document
Quote:

1.5 System Requirements
Oracle Advanced Security is an add-on product bundled with the Oracle Net Server or Oracle Net Client. It must be purchased and installed on both the client and the server.

I did not find any link to download ASO in oracle.com. Correct me if I were wrong.

I've just remove all of Oracle Server in my computer, and then, re-installed it again. However, I did not find any option called as Avanced Security Option by OUI.

Thank you!

Having to purchase the option does not mean it is not available in your CD, you don't download anything, it is ALREADY on what you have.

Did you download XE edition? You should have a Advanced Security option below the Entreprise one.

Thank you Michel for your reply!

I already used Enterprise Edition, the Oracle Server release 10.2.0.1, and I just updated patch to use 10.2.0.3.

As you see, the ASO was installed, but when I use NetMgr, I did not see this option avaiable.

Were I wrong or I miss something?

Thanks again!
