HI Embarassed
sometimes our application give a slow respons to the user
when i use TNSPING it give the following result OK (270 msec) in the normal case it give the following result OK (10 msec) or OK (0 msec) can this give any indication that
there is a network problem's Mad

In this case, also try a "ping" command.

Thank's Michel for reply
I Tried ping and tracrert the result alwayes identical ( when the application is slow or normal ) only small diffrence Shocked
1 - ping alwayes gives the same result 1 ms
2- tracert gives 1ms - 22 ms
only the big diffrence appears in tnsping

TNSPING only interacts with Oracle listener & NEVER involves the database.

Oracle listener is NEVER involved with an established Oracle session.

Slow application response times have NOTHING to do with Oracle listener.
