Dear Friends
I'm new with oracle Apex.
I read the installation guid i i succeed in installing it and configuring DAD's file also.
Now i log on the url:
http://laptop:8080/pls/apex
the logon dialog appeared but i do not know the username and the password to log on
will any one tell me what is the default username or password
or how to get them?
I attach the screen shot

That's true. It's not related to apex, it's the network password.
To have this dialog, then you are trying to connect to another computer on the network. Where is the database installed? Is it locally (on your host), or on another computer?
1. If it is on your host, then you have to provide localhost or 127.0.0.1 in your link (i.e http://127.0.0.1:8080/ ...).
2. If it is on another computer, then you have to provide the IP or the name of the concerned computer.

Dear all
thanks for replaying
in fact i deinstaled database
and i formated my hard disk
and i installed Windows 2003 server
i installed Oracle Database 11g the latest edition
and i installed oracle application server 10g release 2
Everything is running well nowNow i want to install apex again
Would you provide me with a good document for installing Apex.
by the way: the sersion i downloaded for Apex is
apex_3.1.1

hi,
once again i am reiterating the following.
at the time of installation you would have given against
workspace as internal, against username admin and against password you would have entered admin123.
on invoking it will ask you to change the password instead of admin123 and it will reconfirm the given password too.
go to the run sql command mode
sql> prompt will appear
you login as connect system / admin123 as sysdba
create user anugraha identified by anu5391
grant all resources, dba, connect to anugraha
quit the sql prompt
go to oracle10G homepage
you will prompted with username and password you shall type the created username and password.
you will land main page where in administrator sqlworkshop utility logo will appear
or if yours is not a network, and stand alone pc environment, i shall watch you (from my place) what you have done and where is the error for which you have to tell your email-id to me and at convenient time both of us can login and can do some repair job. how best our communication speed can help to achieve and time factors are further constraints.
