Experts,

we are planning to implement logical for one of my mission critical database. can any one guide me considerations i need to take care on below topology.

i have a database which is in non RAC environment. now we are planning to create logical standby which should be in 2 node RAC.

means logical standby should be on RAC. this is my requirement.

reason why we are going for this topology are:

performance and reduce load on the production database.

in my production we have lot of intensive sql statements and nightly jobs which are taking lot of time to complete. these are causing day time activities. so we are planning to run all those jobs on logical standby along with backup.

reason why we are going to RAC is RAC offers load balance and better performance.

my questions are :

this way of implementation is possible?
could you please send me any document or link or white paper to analyze this topology.
is there any data type restrictions in logical standby.
can i switch over my database(prod) non rac environment to RAC environment.
