We have one project developed on Oracle engine and VB front end. To execute a stored procedure from VB form , we have used Oracle Object for Ole feature. The procedures are executed using ExecuteSQL method supported by OO4O. This is a synchronous command. Earlier we used Remote Data Object of VB. Execute method available with RDO can be set to Asynchronous using rdasyncEnable. I would like to know if there is any such feature available in OO40.

I am using Visual Basic 6.0, Oracle v8.04 and Oracle Objects 2.2 and 2.3. I reviewed the oracle examples in the \oo4022\vb\samples. The Multicur.vbp and plsqlcur.vbp might point you in the right direction.

First time I get connected to the database
But when I try to invoke a stored procedure i get
the following error
"2147417848- Method'?????'Object'???????e'failed"

Second time when i try to get connected the error message is
"Object invoked has been disconnected from its client" when OK in message is clicked the next error message is
"object variable or with block not set " this is due to the statement that calls stored procedure
