I am trying to install some extras to Oracle server and the error from the software asset Manager for orainst.exe <<“The instruction at “0x78025e44” reference memory at “0x00000010”. The memory could not be read”>> comes up. I am using Oracle 7.3 on an Alpha Server, which is running Windows NT. The server has a 533Mhz processor and 512Mb of memory. Another thing that I notice is that Oracle73.exe process is using up to 450Mb of memory. Is anybody has an answer to my problem.

Hi, this may be a stupid question, but are you using the Y2K compatible installer. If not, you can get a lot of misleading messages sending you down the wrong path!
