I encountered some connection problem, please give some pointers . See my Lotus Notes Agent is trying to connect to our fax server and faces the connection problem with the following errors:

The ODBC Error Messages is : INTERSOLVODBC Oracle drive]]OracleORA-12545: TNS:name lookup failure.

Not sure whether is the connection timeout problem?

Iris,

It looks to me like the data source name you are using is not defined in the tnsnames file of sql*net. Have you tested to make sure SQL*net is working correctly for that database without ODBC? Use the netping executable to do your check.

Hello:

We are testing a oracle based application, we can tnsping the server, but while running the application we get an error after giving the user name and the password. Run-Time error '3151' ODBC - connection to 'mispc' (is the name of the application we are testing) failes.

We would appreciate if we can find a solution to this problem.

Thanks and have Great Day

When using the INTERSOLV-ODBC driver on an Interbase database instead of the earlier driver by Visigenic, an error occurs on some queries.
The error is generated by the INTERSOLV-ODBC driver and is as follows:
"Character, decimal and binary parameters cannot have a precision of zero. Error in parameter 8."
Does anyone have a clue?
