When attempting a connection to the database, which fails, we are receiving a number of error messages in the listener.log file. Clients are attempting a connection to Oracle 8.0.5 on solaris 2.7. The problem starts to occur only after a certain number of connections are already established. The messages are as follows :

TNS-12500: TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server process
TNS-12540: TNS:internal limit restriction exceeded
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00510: Internal limit restriction exceeded
Solaris Error: 12: Not enough space

I think it may be the UNIX kernel which needs re-configuring. Any ideas?
