I have a 100 column table with varchar2(10) definition for each column. If I update one column in one record of the table is the whole record stored in the rollback segment (using 1000 bytes), or just the changed column (using 10 bytes), or something else? What exactly is stored in the rollback segment? I am trying to understand how much data is being used by the rollback segments and why.
