Hi!

At my College, we are thinking about writing a procedure which a developer can call and use in in-house programs which will connect as a user with maintenance access to our application tables. (Our DBA don’t think this is possible and I am not sure ) We don’t give maintenance access, outside of the application, to tables to our end-users. Right now, our DBA is having them connect as a specific user within their programs, but would like to change the password on a more periodic basis and thought a procedure would let the DBA do the job easier that tracking down all the versions of a specific job. Do you have any script or idea where I should start? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

TIA,

Joyce
