Hi,

I am using 9i OEM and connecting to different 9i databases. Recently I have upgraded one of the database to 10gR2.

When I try to access the 10g database from 9i OEM, I am getting the error

"This application requires the that you have been granted the SELECT ANY DICTIONARY privilege. Contact your DBA to grant you this privilege".

I have tried to login with the user SYSTEM, which has the DBA role and also SELECT ANY DICTIONARY privilege. Still getting the same error. If I login with sys/<pwd> as sysdba from 9i OEM, then I am able to login successfully.

Can we access the 10g db from 9i OEM?
Are there any restrictions and any drawbacks for the same?

Kindly let me know the pros and cons of the same.

All the replies are welcome

Thanks in Advance

Regards
nani

9i OEM is not compatible with 10g. If you like, you can install the 10g OEM java console from the 10g client CD and/or use the native 10g web based OEM.
