post proof

When was last time this worked?
What changed?

It would be helpful if you followed Posting Guidelines - http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/88153/0/

Please clarify the number of actual systems involved.
Is Oracle client software installed some system other than DB server?

Did you make ANY attempt to follow Installation Guide before starting?
If so, what URL?

It would be helpful if you followed Posting Guidelines - http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/88153/0/

12560, 00000, "TNS:protocol adapter error"
// *Cause: A generic protocol adapter error occurred.
// *Action: Check addresses used for proper protocol specification. Before
// reporting this error, look at the error stack and check for lower level
// transport errors. For further details, turn on tracing and reexecute the
// operation. Turn off tracing when the operation is complete.

ORA-12560 has many causes & therefore many solutions.
If you would have previously actually SEARCHED this forum before posting, you'd get dozens or hundreds of thread with same error.

The reality is when properly configured SQL*Net works.
When mis-configured, it throws errors.

Is any type of Operating System Virtualization installed?

Please keep in mind that currently NO Oracle software has been certified on Windoze 7

Yes, you have an error.
Without additional details, You're On Your Own (YOYO)!

>actually the oracle client software is install in local personal computer and to connect to the local database.

Beside the posted error, SQL*Net is NOT required to access local DB via sqlplus.

So stop using SQL*Net to access local DB & no TNS error will be generated.
