I don't know what really happens but SQL PLUS crashes every time i introduce my user and my password. I am certain that the user and password is good. It doesn't let me introduce the password for 3 times in a row and then to crash. It just simple crashes if i put once my data.

Yesterday it worked. it\s just so simply arbitrary. I don't have any idea why today is happening this to me . It\s because i have win 7? It worked better on win xp, i mean it doesn't crashed so often but it still crashed.

i use the user scott and the password ***** that i have just set it out when i\ve installed oracle. or i use "system" and the password *****. the scott user and system are unlocked.

please help me, i really need to open sql plus
i\m new to this thing..

Could you copy/paste the whole session?

Can you copy paste it?

Not getting how it crashes - you mean the dos/cmd window hangs up?

Your image does not show any "crash".

Open a CMD box, start SQL*Plus until it crashes and copy and paste what's inside the window IN TEXT and inside the post, no attached image or file.

Michel

I solved it. It had something to do with windows security. I run it in administrator and i get no errors now. I don't understand why it doesn't run in administrator by default. Anyway thanks a lot.
