SQL*Plus commands are accesses from a browser ---> SQL*Plus is a command_line interface and it has iSQL*PLUS(i for Internet) which can be access from the browser.

SQL*Plus is the Oracle proprietary interface for executing SQL statements ---> As i mentioned already it is a command_line interface for executing both SQL & PLSQL.

Have you tried abbreviating SQL*Plus commands, for example using DESC instead of DESCRIBE to describe a table?
