i have a report in 6i based on multi data links and each table has a index field referenced in where clause but its taking long time for the report to open, how do i need to fine tune it , i am very new to tuning and i have no idea where to start from.Can anyone suggest me where do i need to start from , i know there are lot of references on this website to read but i need to get on hands on quicker .

thanks michel, i tried to start with indexing, there is an improvement, i did indexing based on the where clause of my select statement.
