Hi,

How to reduce the space in Oracle home directory if it is 100% full ?

rm -rf $ORACLE_HOME

Hi Blackswan,

rm -rf $ORACLE_HOME

This command will remove Oracle home and its content.If these are removed , then how oracle database will function ?
Can you please make me understand this point ?

he didn't say it wouldn't break your sysytem, only that it would free up space.

If you need to free up space and not break your system you still have to remove files but be more select in identifying which ones,

my guess is you've not done any housekeeping on the various logs that can collect there. is this the same file system you've allowed to fill with archivelogs?
