I am sure that everyone here is familiar with the soul destroying process of engaging with Oracle Support. However:

I have worked out that if I raise a TAR and it is assigned to someone working in Bucharest I get support that is astronomically better than if it is assigned to a person in any other response centre. This applies whether the problem is database, OL, even OCI - anything. Does anyone have a technique for influencing where a TAR goes? I used to think that it was dependent on the time when you raise it and the timezone of the centre, but I don't think so.

It is a long time since I worked for Uncle Oracle. I sincerely hope that I was better than they are now.

--update: it has occurred to me that "TAR" may be a bit old fashioned. I should say "SR" nowadays.
