Hi,

At first I would like to give thanks to everybody that I got the oppprtunity to share the knowledge with you.

So if oracle loaded on Win95, we can use tcpip protocol in our tnsnames.ora file. Also we have to start listener by using lsnrctl.exe from oracle_homebin directory.

But it is better to use bequeth or local database for both win95/win98 machine, where both oracle & d2k are loaded. Also check the environment variable i.e. oracle_sid.

If problem exists, this could be due to you have loaded different versions of oracle in the same pc. That means oracle and d2k are not same version. In this case first load d2k, delete this file win95.rgs (Win95/98 PC) or nt.rgs (nt/2000 PC) from oracle_homeorainstall directory. Then install oracle. This will work.

Good luck

Suresh
