hi,

I hv a problem with database.
Internally we are able to connecting to the database and using our own application by net 8 confi.

but when i tried to connect to the database through web i'm getting an error message tns error.
here also i configured net 8. but in the hostname i changed the IP address from local IP to Public IP.

eventhough i'm unable to connect to the database.
pl. give me the solution asap.

Hi,

What is the exact error message you are getting ?

I have had a similar problem when connecting to the database.

Check if the TNSNAMES.ORA file is configured correctly on the webserver as well. It should contain the same connection strings as you have on your client machine.
