LISTENER - Error: TNS-12560 [message #66974]

Hi!
I have a problem to restart my listener again. With the current configuration the listener works fine.
But today in the morning it crashes without any other configuration and now I get the folling error messages:
LSNRCTL> start

first try this.
1. rename the listener.ora to something else.
2. create a new listener.
3. start the listener.
   if this is not helping u 
   please port your listener.ora.

Thank you for your help!!!
I could fix my problem - so simple: /etc/hosts could not be read by user ORACLE...:-(((

HI,

I am trying to connect a oracle 9i server which is on WINXP from a oracle 8.0.6 client which is on TRU64 Unix.

I get the following error.
