Hi,

Oracle 8.17 client.

Can somebody tell me the exact syntax for specifying a value for the TNS to time out ? Our connection can be slow to establish because we use a VPN, this sometimes causes a TNS-12535: TNS:operation timed out error.
If i can specify a longer period, then it should work ok (albeit a slower login !)

You can specify, CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 0
