Hi,
1- I installed Oracle 9i on a W2k server. The looged user is the local administrator of the server.
2- I'm trying to make a connection to the server using Oracle 8i client installed on Windows XP professional, the logged user is a domain user, but the Net8 configuration assist fails to connect giving the error ORA-03113
3- When I login to the XP client using the local administrator, I can connect to Oracle with no problems.

Can any one tell me what is wrong with domain configurations?
Thanks in advance

Hi,

According to me u have check the alert log file it will show u some extended picture abt what exactly is happening while connecting. Moreover u can start tracing on client side which which give u exact info abt any error occurred in connection in the form of error stack.
