Hi,
I have created 2 database on Red Hat Linux 9 OS. I have doubt in Listener Configuration...

1) I have configured 1 DB with LISTENER and port 1521.I have used the hostname not IP. For the second Databse what should i give in the port no: asked for LISTENER1??

2)What shall i add to the 'other services' option of the Net Manager??

3)Whats id diff between Netca & NetMgr ??

with thanks,

u can use the same listener for the 2nd database
or
create a new listener.

netca used to create / add tnsentries and listener services.
netmgr used to admininistrate the other authentication and connect services.
