Hello,

We are using oracle9i.

DB box A which is AIX/oracle9i.

Win2k box B with CMAN installed and configured.

I am able to connect oracle in Box A throug Box B
from Linux Laptop. But not able to connect from win2k
desktop. When I try from win2k I am getting
ORA-12564: TNS:connection refused error. Trace file
gives

TNS:packet write failure and TNS protocol adapter errors.

Any thoughts/ideas ??

Thanks

Hi,

Check ur CMAN.ORA file, this error message indicates that ur connection manager doesn't allow u to connect to DB. I think ur machine is not listed in the RULES specified in cman.

Just make an entry in ur CMAN.ORA file for ur machine and specify rule for ur machine, I hope it will solve ur problem.

Hi,

I am not using RULES at all, that is I am allowing
all machines through the CMAN. It works from my Linux Laptop.

Thanks any way.
