I was exported Oracle 8.1.7 database,when we import in Oracle 8.0.5 iam getting error IMP-00069 could not convert to environment national character set's handle.
Please give me the solution for this.

hi,
Was this export file transferred from another system? Please ensure it was handled as a binary file if ftp'd. This error (and others) can be sigalled if the file was not transferred properly.
and
The version of IMP executable that is being used to perform the import is
probably lower than the version of the EXP executable that was used.
