A trivial question

I have 3 databases,now how do i basically connect to a database or in other words how do i change my database??

what exactly do u mean by change my db
if u can just connect by giving sqlplus username@<SID>
or u can give export ORACLE_SID=<SID> command on unix

or if u want to connect to another database from one u can create dblink...

Hi,
if u mean, u want to set a Default database out of the 3 databases, then Try for setting the value for ORACLE_SID in Regedit -> HKey_local_machine-> ORACLE -> etc for Windows box , Set in ORATAB for Unix based machine..
