I am running a "out Process" Report server , through rwserver command.
My problem can be understood by taking an example.
I am having 2 machines on which i have installed "Oracle 9i Report Server". I want to start that server on both the machines simultaneously , but am not able to do so. It is because when i start server on first machine it also starts "Smart Agent" (an ORB client) on that machine. Now when i start the Report server with same name on another machine, again an "Smart Agent" starts and senses that on first machine the a Report server with that name is already running and denies me to start the server saying that somewhere server is already running.
To start the server on both the machines i have to kill the osa agent on the first server so that it could not sense the presence of already running server with the same name on other machine.
Can i start server without starting "Smart agent" ?
Is there any setting by which before starting report server it do not sense the presence of already running server ?
