I have win 2k m/c[[P4]] with Oracle 8i personal installed on it.

Since i have installed Oracle 8i on it I get the following
error whenever i start my computer[[which ever user]].

_________________________________________________________
java.xe has generated errors and will be closed by windows.
You will need to restart the program.

An error log has been created.
___________________________________________________________

this message keeps on popping 20-30 times and i have to
press ok. If i do not press OK then it goes on making
these logs indefinitely.

The log says this
in the Dr. Watson error log ->

Application exception occurred:
App: java.exe (pid=1632)
When: 11/23/2001 @ 00:50:05.546
Exception number: c0000005 (access violation)

Could any one help me resolve this problem

thanks in advance
Akash

Oracle 8i will not run on some P4 systems. Check out Oracle's website. They have known about it for a year and yet there is no fix on their site. There are hacks out there that will get it to work. Good Luck!

Did anybody find a solution to this? I am also experiencing the same problem even with changing the DLL to .OLD as suggested on the Pentium site.
