Please help. I'm new to oracle. where i'm working I have oracle 9i release 2 and a rather big database with big tables, stored procedures and so on... The problem is i must reinstall the server (windows xp) and i have to save somehow the database. I tried to simply copy the files but obviously it didn't work. Is there any way to export it and then, after i reinstall my system to import it???? Thank you very much...

export the database (full) and secure it.
do an re-instaall OS
reinstall oracle
recreate the seed database.
recreate the tablespaces with the same names as before
import

look into oracle utitilies manual for help on export / import

Thank you very much for information. I have just one more question:
Where can I find Oracle utilities manual and eventually a PL/SQL manual.

Thank you again.
