We use Central and Regional Databases by applying replication. The communication line between them are Brodband, DDN and VSAT.
We tried to check the connection by creating dblink in both sites, then we tested by using TNSPING. Thoses sites used VSAT give us a message TNS lost contact when we TNSPING from Region to Central, where as from Central to Region we ddin't get the above message.
Is there any solution to avoid the above messge?

the error is very generic.
TNSPING look for the availablity of listener in other side.
thats it.
Look into logs for more detailed erros and post specific information about oracle versions and OS.
