hi. I am a newbie to oracle related programming... Embarassed

I attempt to call OCI to connect the oracle database and do some data exchange.

I could not find the "header files" to include, such as "oci.h" and such kind of headers. I guess there should be such kind of "include folder".

It is appreciated If you can give me a demo project.

By the way : I work at Red Hat Linux 9.0, Oracle 8.1.7.

Any advice is welcome!

Thank you for you attention !

Hi,

The OCI header files can be found amongst the Oracle Home installation, try:

$ORACLE_HOME/oci/include

You only need to include the #define "oci.h" in your program files.

The OCI samples can be found in:

$ORACLE_HOME/oci/samples

Kind regards,
