I want to install Oracle 8i and Forms 6i on Windows XP professional
(Single machine).please give post install configuration .

By the way what version of 8i are you installing? personal or EE?

Hi!

I have installed Oracle8i Personal on my Win Xp Prof. My problem is that the Listener won't start. What would be the possible solutions for this...

HI

2 ways to start listener.
1. Start manually using command "lsnrctl start".
2. Configure the listener to start automatically in the Services section of administrative tasks for the system.

By the way, if u had tried starting the listener earlier, what was the error message that u were getting?
