Dear ALL;
As I little know about database link, here is my question: we can create a private database link as well as a public database link with identical name. private link (say pt1 may connect to a dev database) where as public db link (say pt1: the same name as earlier may connect to a test database).Now as my understanding is, for name resolution, oracle will first use the private db link. Is this correct to accept it. I did a limited testing and found that Oracle using my private dblink.I have not found any documents to support my finding. Any help/suggestion/advice/anything would be of great help.
