Hi all,

I plan to create an Oracle Names Server in our environment. This component is resided inside Oracle database CD, custom installation?

Prior to that I need to install a whole new database to the server or only ONS component will do.

Appreciate any suggestions or info. Thanks

Oracle is busy de-supporting the Names Server. Why don't you install a LDAP server instead?
