hello
i am setting up dataguard on 10g winxp,
i want that the standby database have the same name like the primary , but wouldnt that create a conflict in this parameter
LOG_ARCHIVE_CONFIG='DG_CONFIG=(chicago,boston)'
LOG_ARCHIVE_CONFIG='DG_CONFIG=(chicago,chicago)'

You could keep the DB_NAME the same, but just specify a different DB_UNIQUE_NAME for each. Therefore, you'll use the DB_UNIQUE_NAME's in the DG_CONFIG parameter.
