Hello All,

I am having issues in sending archive logs to standby, on my test machine. Both database are on same machine. here are the logs
I am using 10g

ALert.LOG

PING[ARC0]: Heartbeat failed to connect to standby 'sbyorcl'. Error is 12528.

Could u please suggest what could be the problem. I can TNSPING to both the services. Secondly, it used to work earlier but after i reinstalled oracle (same version) something changed.

Have you verified the password file and it's contents for the standby? May want to recreate it.

What O/S?
Any error on installation?

No errors at installation, services are started (OS) since i am using Windows. If you see the errors in text i pasted the error is something like insufficient privs.
