We have an Excel spreadsheet that accesses an Oracle DB internally. We have a requirement to make it available to non-employees outside the firewall. Any ideas how to do this ? Can we use authenication credentials (uname/pwd)with LDAP to establish a connection inside the firewall ? Thanks.

The best solution is to setup a glass house (DMZ): Internet users can connect to the server in the DMZ, but not to your network. In turn, you allow the server to make a connection to the database via the firewall.
