Hullo.,
I am Newbie for Oracle 9i. I have installed Oracle 9i in my pc & configured in TOAD also in the name of SYSTEM & MANAGER in Database name : XXXXXX . How can i change my default user name & pasward.

As a DBA user you need to create your own user (look up the CREATE USER SQL command in the manuals) and give that user the necessary rights. You can alter the password of a user through the 'ALTER USER xxx IDENTIFIED BY newpassword;' command.

whenever you connect by toad, there is an option when toad startup, If u want to default connect to any schema set auto connect option on.
